Still Dreaming

It’s that time of the year again when people re-evaluate their dreams for the year ahead; some prefer to call them resolutions. It is not surprising that most of the things are being re-visited since they never materialized the previous year or the year before that. You’d think people would learn from their past and let their supposed dreams go. I mean really, let it go already and just live each day as it comes, right?

A New Year of Rejuvenation

Now 2010 is a year of the past, we can reflect on a year which held trials and tribulations for many of us. 2011 can be looked upon as the dawn of a new day, where we can grab the bull by the horns and start living a life which has only been evident within our dreams.

2010 Was a Humble Brick

I woke up in 2011 and discovered that hangovers are still a commonly reoccurring problem in the New Year. A babalaas is a good place from which to start the day, or in this case the year. The ‘unscratchable’ pain in the head and parts previously unknown makes me feel alive despite the discomfort. There is also an underlying tinge of guilt, for what obviously was an over indulgence, that gets me working even if it’s cautiously at first.
