LA LUNAR – Jozi’s newest ultra-lounge
La Lunar (meaning midnight in Latin) is Jozi’s newest club designed around a lounge theme. Featuring a modern contemporary décor, sophistication and comfort is the main focus with the white-on-white seating featuring a touch of red.
Plush interiors, sophisticated society, a retractable roof and the first official Peroni bar in the country – these are just a few things that Joburg’s clubbing scene can expect from La Lunar, the latest ultra-lounge offering in the City of Gold.
Situated in the heart of the northern suburbs, the official launch is anticipated in the first quarter of 2011, La Lunar has already hosted an array of top parties and functions, including the official Head Honcho clothing label’s summer fashion show. The lounge also caters for corporate and private events, birthdays, comedy nights, special performances and open-mic nights in addition to its weekend club offering.
The ultra-lounge features a VIP section for exclusivity, three bars, premium service and professional bar staff. Two of the bars are set on the magnificent balcony, perfect for the Sunday sundowner sessions that are becoming synonymous with the lounge.
One of the main highlights is the classy Peroni bar, the first official illuminated bar in the country dedicated to the pioneers of Italian perfection and custom designed for the launch of Peroni’s Blue Ribbon concept.
Out-of-this-world Panoramic views through the retractable roof offer the perfect backdrop for classy yet unpretentious party nights. All this is complemented by a variety of music and top guest DJ’s on the decks, spinning the latest RnB, Hip Hop and vocal house hits.
